If you could have any job in the world, it would be the best pay ever and you would have complete job satisfaction what would it be?

Re: Your Perfect Career

Post by Evie on Thu May 19, 2016 10:04 am

My ideal career would be Woman With Three Lifespans, so I could cover all the things I want to do in one life. Surprised

When I was little, I wanted to be a biologist.
And a writer.
And a ballerina.
And a lecturer.
And a violinist.
And an astronomer.
And a composer.
And an opera singer.
And an explorer.

I've ticked off four of those career paths already (I doubt I will sojourn into the others but who knows Wink )...balancing them is hard, though. One of the things I want to work on is my energy and productivity...academia is tiring, and I haven't had a real holiday in such a long time. I need most of all to learn mindfulness, and positive thinking, which is why I'm here. Wink

I really want to write books - fiction, not just non-fiction, an short stories, not just academic articles. The thing is one has to finish things, and I tend to have thousands of ideas sometimes crammed into one project but then I have the same amount that keep dragging me to another one...and ultimately my creative writing projects rarely get finished. Except poetry. I always finish my poems! Razz

And I have a real passion for teaching, there is nothing in the world that could be more satisfying than inspiring students with what you know and love, showing them the wonders and beauty of knowledge, teaching them how to do things and how to perfect themselves, helping them to realise their potential and grow as human beings.

Ultimately it all revolves around music - for me, the following quote is vehemently true:

...as is this one:

Wow such great career choices!

There are so many things that I would like to do. I love traveling but since I already travel quite often I won't put it on my list. I assume I will be wanderlusting around this globe anyways Wink

I would be a:

- money making happiness blogger
- a writer
- a happiness coach
- a sports coach
- a barista!!
- a find the perfect coffee place spotter (does that exist? Haha)
- an event planner
- a professional freedom enjoyer with a huge passive income stream.
- a yogi

Guess that sums it all up for now
- a photographer

Nope, not done yet!

I would also be an owner of a cute quest house somewhere in China, so I would travel there a couple of times a year. Would provide good circumstances for the staff, a bit ecological with fair trade products and so on. It will be located at a place where you can enjoy nature the fullest.

ohhh some of those careers sound awesome, and Evie how lucky you've achieved some already!

i'm about 2 years away from being able to set up my counselling practice so i have a way to go yet

i dont know why but i've recently fancied being a personal shopper... like trawling the internet to find things for other people to buy.

Oh I love yours LMS! Particularly the yogi one - would you also want to teach yoga as part of that?

And I think you'll make a fantastic counsellor Night I love you

Still I might end up joining Luney as a luxury hotel tester who blogs about it Cool Time for us to enjoy Santorini!! Very Happy
