Waking up in the middle of the night

Post by Night Eyes on Mon Feb 20, 2017 11:56 am

I was just reading this about what it means when you wake up at the same time every night, for the last couple of weeks no matter what time I go to bed or how tired I am I've been waking up at 4am or thereabouts without fail.

It does make sense the explanation in this article I have been feeling sad and worried so maybe there is an energy blockage, and i've also been thinking a lot about loved ones i've lost so maybe there is a message trying to be conveyed?

Interesting.....

That is very interesting, as long as you're not waking 3:33 precisely every night affraid considering the horror movies.

I wake up many times during the night usually because the kids are making some noise or one of my cats is behind the window trying to get in. So it's hard for me to figure out if I also wake up for no reason in between all those times.

Maybe you could mentally ask before you go too sleep any passed loved ones to visit you in the dreams if they have a message for you, or alternatively the reason you wake up to be revealed to you in a dream hmmm

In one article it did say to listen for a message.

since posting this I havent been waking up at that time any more so not sure what it all means I am still waking at some point during the night but it's not as noticeable.

Oh Night hugz I'm sorry to hear you have such a sleep pattern.

You know I look at things a bit differently, so I guess it's no surprise I wouldn't see it as a message etc. Instead, I wonder if you have been anxious about something/a number of things lately? Or if you have some suppressed anxieties that you aren't that aware of during the day, which instead come out at night and wake you up. I was the same as you for a long time during a time of my life when I was very sad and stressed. I would wake up at 5am every day without fail, no matter when I had gone to sleep. It lasted for a month or more, until life got better. Shruggy smiley I am usually the kind of person who sleeps like a log and needs multiple alarms (though I do have the habit of getting up at 7am)... so the getting up at 5am thing was very unlike me. Also, I usually have no trouble getting back to sleep if for some strange reason I am woken up before I had intended to rise from bed. But during that time, I could never get back to sleep, I would wake up at 5am and have worries swirling through my head.

Again, maybe it is not even an anxiety you are consciously processing, maybe it's something deeper? In any case, I hope whatever it is passes soon. I love you

Yes I have been struggling with my anxiety a lot lately so it could very well be that, the reason I was looking around and found this article was because I was having a conversation with my brother and he said that he wakes up at the same time every night without fail, so I thought perhaps there's more to it Smile

I have been reading up on how it's possible to get better sleep...   some interesting things I wanted to share:

Guide to Clean Sleeping

1. Eat your way to sweeter dreams.

Preparation for good sleep can begin with breakfast. Straight off the bat, you want to be consuming mindful meals that will support your sleep that night.

I've just been looking through our Stress Less thread again and it struck me that this post mentions waking up early every day as an indicator of low serotonin levels... http://sparkleandshine.forumotion.com/t70-stress-less-with-glim#2389

I don't know about you guys but I am quite sure it was about the serotonin levels when I was waking up at the same time every morning. And there are ways to fix that!
